Emporium Math Program (EMP)
Program Description: Developed and researched over ten years by the National Center for Academic Transformation (NCAT) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the Emporium Model is an alternative mathematics delivery method through which students access course materials from an online "emporium" and receive personalized, on-demand assistance from instructors, tutors, and peers. The modularized curriculum, from Basic Mathematics to Review of Math Fundamentals to Elementary Algebra, has multiple entry and exit points, which improves retention and time to completion.
